We are providing an update on the ongoing service disruption. The Middle East (UAE) Region (ME-CENTRAL-1) has suffered damage as a result of the conflict in the Middle East and is currently unable to reliably support customer applications. While some workloads continue to function normally, we strongly recommend customers migrate all accessible resources to other Regions and restore inaccessible resources from remote backups as soon as possible. Relevant billing operations are currently suspended while we restore normal operations in this AWS Region. This process is expected to take several months.

The site is currently back online, though some components may still experience intermittent degradation or elevated latency. AWS continues to work on restoring the affected infrastructure and services within the Middle East region. While our primary services are recovering, we are keeping the incident open as we monitor system stability and wait for final confirmation of full resolution from AWS.

More info: Impact is specific to users with OneNote build 16.112.717.0 or higher. Whilst we work on remediation, impacted users may be able to utilize OneNote on the web or remove Authenticator so that authentication falls back to the in-app webview. Users may also be able to sign in to any other Microsoft 365 apps first (e.g. PowerPoint), then attempt to sign in again in OneNote. Current status: Our fix deployment is taking longer than anticipated but is ongoing. We're continuing to monitor as it progresses to establish a completion timeline. Scope of impact: Any user attempting to sign in to OneNote build 16.112.717.0 or higher using iOS devices is impacted.
